Chilliwack* Real Estate Review and Analysis March 2014


The Chilliwack* real estate board area (CADREB) which includes the outlying communities of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope and parts of the Fraser Cascade Regional District recorded 123 sales of single family houses and 58 sales of strata homes such as townhouses, and apartments in March 2014. A total of 177 residential properties representing a 15% increase in sales volume over February.

This report divides Chilliwack* residential properties into two classifications; single family detached and strata.  There is often quite a difference in market vigor between the two classifications as we shall see. There is good strength in the single family detached market when compared to a 10 year average for March.  The strata market however continues to flag recording the lowest number of sales for March in the last decade.

Sales of Single Family Detached Houses

The Chilliwack* real estate board area (CADREB) which includes the outlying communities of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope and parts of the Fraser Cascade Regional District recorded a total of 123 sales of single family houses in March 2014.

The 123, Chilliwack* real estate board single family detached, sales were more than the February 2014 total of 104 - but traditionally, we expect fewer sales in February. 
  
A list to sale ratio of 15 % is up from 14% a month earlier indicating a competitive balanced market Chilliwack* single family detached homes.

      Sales of Strata Homes (Apartments, Townhouses etc.)

      The Chilliwack* real estate board area (CADREB) which includes the outlying communities of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope and parts of the Fraser Cascade Regional District recorded a total of 58 sales of strata homes (apartments, townhouses) in March 2014.


      NEW LISTING Adult 55+ Ranch $269,900


      The 58, Chilliwack* real estate board strata sales were an improvement to the February 2014 total of 46 but, was less than the 81 sales that would usually be expected.
        
      A list to sale ratio of 12% indicates a Buyer's Market for Chilliwack* strata homes.
