BC Housing Market April 2018

a>

The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) has just released it's April Housing Forecast noting a significant decline in house sales, in BC, blamed on the tightening of mortgage requirements. Despite this, and given a limited inventory of homes for sale, prices are up significantly, in the Chilliwack trading area (Hope to the Vedder Canal) year-to-year prices are up 21.8%. Currently there are 2.7 months of inventory which is on the low side, keeping the market in seller's territory for now.
